Come along and treat yourself
These are a series of four 2 hour long sessions where you can enjoy a wonderful collaboration of several birth workers. These include pregnancy yoga, reflexology, pregnancy massage, yummy nutrition, pregnancy art and of course, deep relaxation. It’s so important to look after yourself and your growing bump, and make time for you both.
Each session has a mini pamper theme and always includes a hot drink and a sweet treat. You can start attending at anytime during your pregnancy with the opportunity to re enrol when you have finished your block of four sessions. (Or from 37 weeks you can pay as you go for £15 per session.) Spaces are limited- book a block of 4 sessions for introductory price of £60 that are worth every penny! Booking essential. Everything you will need is supplied, but please wear comfortable warm clothing.

I asked everybody involved in this special collaboration to write a bit about who they are and what they will be doing in their sessions:
Active Birth Yoga by Paula Sims – Prepare mentally and physically for the birth of your baby- come along to practice some gentle yoga stretches, whilst learning about Optimal Fetal Positioning and Active Birth Preparation to help make your birth experience easier by utilising gravity and maximising your pelvis.
Belly art by Annette Phillips, artist, birthworker and Mum of 6. Celebrate your beautiful baby bump with a creative space to enjoy your artisitc side. Previous projects include a making a scan picture frame, and a pregnancy journal- which starts off the bonding process.
My blissful hour of relaxation and self hypnosis at the end of each class, will include deep breathing to start, followed by a lovely long visualisation/ self hypnosis focusing on a different pregnancy, birth and parenthood- such as increasing positivity, how to sleep better, staying relaxed and reducing fears, bonding with baby, and looking after yourself in pregnancy. No previous experience of hypnosis, mindfulness or meditation necessary- this is a safe environment to try it and enjoy it! I am a midwife, qualified hypnobirthing teacher and mum to 4! Note- Did you know? Pregnancy classes count as antenatal preparation and you are entitled to time off work to attend the relaxation classes and the pregnancy pamper sessions in Birmingham.
